Ingredients
- 3 g Raw garlic
- 20 g Raw onions
- 20 g Tomato chili sauce
- 260 g Ready-made seitan, drained
- 3 g Ground turmeric
- 5 g Dried thyme
- 15 g Olive oil
- 3 g For garnish
- 20 g Peanut butter
- 20 g 10 g for the seitan and 10 g for the peanut sauce
- 20 g Or maple syrup
- 40 g 40 ml, for the peanut sauce
Preparation
- Drain the ready-made seitan and pat it dry. Cut it into 18 similar-sized pieces for 6 skewers.
- Finely grate the onion and crush the garlic. Mix with the turmeric, thyme, olive oil, tomato chilli sauce and 10 g of the soy sauce.
- Coat the seitan in the mixture and leave for 10 minutes while you prepare the peanut sauce.
- Mix the peanut butter, honey or maple syrup, the remaining 10 g soy sauce and 40 ml water until smooth.
- Thread 3 pieces of seitan onto each of 6 metal skewers. Keep the coating on the pieces; there is no dough to knead or shape.
- Heat a non-stick grill pan over medium-high heat. Place the skewers in one layer, leaving space to turn them.
- Grill for about 8–10 minutes, turning regularly, until browned and hot throughout. Follow any additional cooking instructions on the seitan packaging.
- Serve the skewers with the peanut sauce and sprinkle with the chopped coriander.
